(Originally posted on my old MySpace blog last fall.)
I read this at the Ron Paul Daily blog ... and since I love The Matrix (see my background?), I thought I'd share. There's a real choice to be made here in this upcoming election. Check this out:
You take the blue pill, you vote democrat or a neo-con republican, the story ends, you will be back to policing the world, running up the national debt, selling out to Chinese, and throwing away liberties your forefathers fought for, your forefathers died for. You will wake up after the election and believe that its really not that bad, who cares about Constitution? Who cares about a rule of law? Who cares about blowback? Who cares that this country is despised across the world, in a time when more and more countries are become powerful. And before long you will find yourself a member of North American Union, competing against Mexicans and Canadians for jobs.
-Or-
You take the red pill, you join the movement, and Ron Paul will show you just exactly what it means to be free. Will show you exactly what millions of people crossed the Atlantic in tiny wooden ships for, and will show you just exactly what the founding fathers envisioned when they vowed to create a country without tyranny, a country for the common man, a country which was created by free men FOR free men. You will see respect restored for this country around the world, you will help reinstate the rule of law.
Ron Paul is offering you the truth, nothing more. Millions have taken the red pill, millions more will do so in the coming months. So join the revolution and help make it happen.
P.S. a message to pro-war Republicans, wake up, 70% of the country is against the war, you cannot win the 2008 election with a pro-war candidate, no matter how much you sacrifice your social conservatism by nominating a pro-war liberal like Giuliani, Romney or Thompson. So if you vote for someone like that don't be angry if you get 8 more years of Clinton, you brought it on yourself. And here is another warning, some of you think Ron Paul supporters will still vote Republican if you don't nominate him. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, its either Ron or we vote 3rd party for a real conservative. And if you think moderates will support you thinking you are the lesser of two evils compared to Clinton...once again WRONG, both democrats and neo-cons are for big spending, the only difference is democrats want to spend the money on social issues, and neo-cons want to spend the money policing the world, so no real difference, and the lesser of two evils here are the democrats, who at least want to spend the money on helping people.
